Loeb's fighting back.....

Still he is due a 5 minute penalty for not finishing the stage he crashed on.

After not finishing stage 6 he was over 4 minutes behind Gronholm.

He's closed that down to like 2 minutes, but his 5 minute penalty is still to be added surely.

No way has he made up 7 minutes on Gronholm

I think you're wrong, Mike:

Loeb was given a mandatory time for SS6 (that he didn't finish), assuming that he wouldn't have lost time on the leader. Then 5min were added to his overall time.

By the way, I don't like this rule either.

YES!!!!!!!!!!! MARCUS GRONHOLM WINS THE MONTE CARLO RALLY!!!! YESSSS!!! :D :D :D His first ever tarmac victory, the first victory for the new Focus, and Gronholm's first victory in his first rally with Ford! :D Faaantastic *murray walker voice* :P :D

Loeb grabs 2nd position, Gardemeister finishes 3rd after he takes a winter tyre option rather than a slick tyre which suited the stage. Well done Toni, great effort! But what a super effort from Loeb, from 8th to 2nd. Well done all! What a rally!

Provisional classifications:
1 M. GRÖNHOLM 4:11:43.9
2 S. LOEB 4:12:45.7
3 T. GARDEMEISTER 4:13:07.0
4 M. STOHL 4:13:26.2
5 S. SARRAZIN 4:15:04.1
6 C. ATKINSON 4:16:46.3
7 M. HIRVONEN 4:18:03.4
8 D. SORDO 4:18:59.1

Yeah looks like it.

Great from Loeb. :D

He'll probably still win the title  , especially if Subaru can't build a reliable car for Petter.
