USA <-> Iraq

What do you think about the current political situation?
Is a war against Iraq justified? Why yes / why not?
If yes, should other countries help the USA?
Are the "proves" enough to legitimate a war?
Are there other possibilities?
What do you think about the USA, Iraq and other countries (e.g. Germany, France or Europe in general)?
Or create your own questions!

I think, the war is not the solution.
Bush is aiming to Iraq beacuse of petrol and because he wants the hegemony in the petrol-export.
I can't see any other reasons for a war against iraq.
Disarming??come on,if we disarm suddamm we should disarm many east-countries too...

Im Fine with it actually.

They will just do something even worse if nothing happens. They have weapons etc and really it would be the same thing as war if they dont.

and to kill 10000 children and civilists?
do you think, that's the right way? i don't think so...
and yes, do you always hit a stranger person K.O. and tell him afterwards: "Sorry, I didn't know you and had to make sure that you don't attack me..."

money? yes that's one reason, but i think the usa also wants to be the only one who has a strong army. their target is to control the whole world.
THEY always want other countries to do this and that, but THEY worry a shit about it what other countries want from the usa. in the war they'll again demonstrate their power and other countries will have even more respect from the usa. so bush can control other countries...

well, saying that they want to control the world is a bit too much.....
Don't forget than china is the second most powerful country in the world.
USA won't never risk open war with china,it's too big for them, they would risk too much.

NEVER !

Plus, the price of the petrol becomes too high... here in Québec, it hits 87¢/L :x 5 years ago, this was only 60¢/L
You can never get enough

I think you've gone too far there.

I severly doubt that 10,000 people will die. But if they don't go ahead with war, Hussein will go on a jollie slaughtering the Kurds and opposition parties that have arose while the US is building a force nearby.

You think that that number will be far more than 10,000 - verging on at least 1,000,000.

What bothers and makes me furious during these days is that in italy a new fashion is borned:
the fashion to buy the "peace" flag and to stick it out of our own houses.....
the most irritating thing is that someone is earning money from this business, and i think that earning
money from a great and important value like "peace" is disgusting and dishonorable for our country.
yesterday i met one of my friends who bought one of those flags and i asked him:
"but at least do you know who is involved in this upcoming war??"
he answered:"sure,USA and afghanistan"
i think this sentence is emblematic of how much italian people are superficial people, and we kinda lack
of personality....
the flag's business anyway is not the only one:i've seen shirts, pants and whatever kind of cloth
with the word "peace" written on it......
if i had a flamethrower i'd first burn all that shitty flags and then i'd burn alive all the dickheads who
bought them....

Gian,
unproud citizen of Italy.
