is speed in water also measured in kph? Sorry to ask this dumb question :oops:

Doesn't matter weather it's water or not, it matters what country your'e in :wink:

So AFAIK UK and US use MPH and everyone else uses KPH, although in the UK i'd say its 50/50

thanks JC. I asked because I've heard something like "we're traveling at a speed of XX "knots" ...does it exist?

Yes there are, here a is table to convert these knots into km/h or mph

they use ''knots'' mostly on big ships. Like cruiseships.
